Katheen " Kathy " Biassey Obituary

Kathleen "Kathy" Biassey, born in Hammond, Indiana, passed away March 8th, 2025.

Kathy grew up in South Bend, Indiana and Scotch Plains, New Jersey, graduating from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in 1972.

Growing up Kathy was busy with arts and crafts, and she loved reading a good murder mystery.  Even though she grew up with Mittens the dog she was always a cat lover. She volunteered at the former Runnels Hospital in Berkeley Heights, NJ.  She was of the Catholic faith.

After attending the University of Delaware, Kathy moved to Northern Virginia and dedicated more than 40 years to serving the U.S. Government, reflecting her deep patriotism and commitment to public service. She enjoyed beach trips and spending time with her family. She retired to Sumter, South Carolina where she found joy in evening strolls in her neighborhood, tending her garden, and the companionship of her beloved cat, Kiera.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth "Betty" Wulf and Eugene Wulf, as well as her brother, Lawrence Wulf. She is survived by her loving sister, Karen Snyder, brother-in-law Dave Snyder and her son, Christopher Biassey.

Inurnment will be on Wednesday July 23,2025, in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ at 1:30 pm. If attending we ask that you gather near front gates by 1:20pm.
