Leonard W. Stoga, age 78. Beloved son of the late Julian and Stephanie Stoga. Loving husband of the late Virginia Stoga. Cherished father of James, Scott, Mark (Nicole), Andrea (Matt) Schauer and the late Christopher. Beloved Grandpa of Jacob, Steven, Alex, Khloe, Jonny and Grace. Fond brother of the late Raymond (Barbara) Stoga, Dear brother-in-law of Ronald (the late Diana), the late Joseph (Kathy) and the late Alfonso Scala.
Visitation, Thursday, June 20, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home 820 W. Talcott Road, Park Ridge. Funeral Prayers will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, June 21st, at Nelson Funeral Home, with procession to Mary, Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church, 920 Granville Ave., Park Ridge. Funeral Mass to begin at 10 a.m. Interment Mount Carmel Cemetery, Hillside.

I hired Len as corporate controller of Hyatt Corporation in 1981. Hiring Len turned out to be an incredibly smart decision. A great accountant and terrific human being. He was so good that when the top accounting position at Hyatt International, our sister company, became available I insisted they make the same smart decision I had made years earlier. When I left the company after 18 years Len thanked me for having given him the opportunity and I thanked him for making me look so good. I will miss him.
