Marvin Weston Obituary

Marvin L. Weston, age 80, of Silva, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at his daughter's home in Ste. Genevieve, MO. He was born May 28, 1944 in McGee, MO, the son of William Weston and Dollie (Skaggs) Weston. A lifelong resident of Wayne County, Marvin was a logger and had attended New Prospect Baptist Church in Silva. 

He was married to Jeannette Elledge March 30, 1974 in Puxico, MO and she passed away August 3, 2016. Also preceding him in death are his parents, William and Dollie Weston, 5 brothers, Earl, Joe, Donald, Junior and Charley Weston; 4 sisters, Clare Skaggs, Carol Green, Ruby Weston and Dollie Weston,

Survivors include 3 daughters, Tammy Woodside and her husband Brandon, of OFallon, MO, Crystal Gross and her husband Doug, of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Linda Rhoden and her husband Rusty, of Silva, MO; 1 brother, Virgil Weston and his wife Patricia, of Glenallen, MO; 3 sisters, Flora Strickland, of Marthasville, MO, Rosemary Price, of Greenville, MO and Thelma Green, of Hiram, MO.

In addition, he is survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Visitation was held at Tuesday, April 22nd, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Greenville. Funeral services followed at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Rusty Rhoden officiating. Special recorded songs were played for the service and Johnny Dale Weston, Brandon Woodside, Dennis Green, Doug Gross, William Johnson and Eddie Green served as Pall Bearers. 

Interment was in the Grassy Friendship Cemetery in Grassy, MO.
