Bernie – Michael Whitehead, 77 of Bernie, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Campbell Healthcare Senior Living in Campbell, Missouri.

Michael, son of Rueben C. and Mary Louise Green Whitehead, was born on Friday, November 21, 1947 in Malden, Missouri.

He worked for an oil company in Memphis, Tennessee before retiring and was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Scales.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Reverend Bryan Johnson officiating.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Malden are in charge of the arrangements.
