Norma Hernandez Obituary

Norma Hernandez passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her 2 daughters. She is leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Norma was a kind, independent, and selfless soul who touched the lives of many. She was the type of person who would drop everything to help someone in need, offering advice, care, and a warm heart to all who knew her.

A devoted mother, Norma dedicated her life to raising her two daughters, Adrienne and Charlene, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally. She was widowed in 2006, after the loss of her beloved husband and best friend, Charles, to cancer. Norma cared for him with grace and deep love through his final days.

Norma was more than a mother—she was a mentor to many, stepping into any role needed for countless people within her family or circle of friends. Her heart was always open. She took part in helping to care for many children in and around the family and was known for her spirit, realness and boundless love.

Later in life, Norma spent precious time in Wyoming with her daughter Adrienne, creating cherished memories with her three grandchildren, Ethan, Tennyson, and Hayden. In her final years, she returned to California to be closer to her daughter Charlene and granddaughter Leah, and other family in Gilroy, where she continued to be a source of strength and love.

Norma is survived by her daughters, Adrienne Lewallen and Charlene Medina, her sons- in-law Shawn Lewallen and Andrew Medina and her four adored grandchildren: Ethan Lewallen, Tennyson Lewallen, Leah Medina and Hayden Lewallen. Her warmth, generosity, and powerful love for her family will never be forgotten.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, care, and strength—a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Adrienne and Charlene and extended family. I knew your Mom for many years. Charlene, I remember you coming to the pharmacy with your Mom. I remember your Dad as well. Send my prayers and faith to all of you and may God keep you strong. Be there for one another.
