Pamela Oates Obituary

Pamela Oates was born in Avon Park, FL, on December 5, 1969, to Cynthia Hampton and the late Nathaniel Sutton. She was the oldest of two siblings.

After graduating from Sebring High School in 1987, Pamela continued her education at South Florida Community College, where she obtained her vocational certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Pamela went on to further her education, receiving an Associate Degree in Science, moving on to becoming a Registered Nurse. Pam was dedicated to her profession for more than twenty years. She touched countless lives with her compassionate care. Most importantly, Pam was a mentor to many younger nurses, sharing her knowledge, wisdom, and experience with kindness and patience. Pam loved and cared deeply for her family, her community, and everyone around her. This explains why she seemed to have a natural aptitude for nursing.

Pamela was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Trinity Church in Sebring, along with her husband, Ricky Oates. She worked as a Deaconess under the direction of Bishop Charles and Leading Lady Judith Anderson. Serving the Lord was her passion.  Pamela was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, nurturing aunt, and faithful friend. She loved life and was adored by many.

Pamela was preceded in death by her biological father, Nathaniel Sutton, and son Clinton Fletcher Jr. (Rakeed).
