Patrick Charles Phillips, Veteran, age 74, of Curlew IA, passed away peacefully on December 23rd , 2024. Born on June 5th , 1950 Pat was a quiet and thoughtful soul, who found solace in his single life on his farm. He valued independence and loved his life on the road as a long-haul driver. He loved his truck, pick up’s, camper and boat and was happiest on the road.
Patrick was the son of Jack and JoAnn Phillips of Emmetsburg. They preceded him in death as well as an infant sister Ellen Ann and also sister Jane Louise Wuebker.
He is survived by his 3 sisters, Mary (and John) Dierbeck, Liberty Hill, TX, Sue (and Terry) Muth of Mountain Home, AR, and Annette (and Kurt) Johnson of Lakewood, IL.
A celebration of his life will be on Friday July 25th, 2025. Visitation at Mattice-Martin Funeral Home 10AM followed by military honors at Saint John’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to an informal luncheon to honor Pat at the Brookstone Suites from noon to 3PM following the burial ceremony.

I met Pat many years ago in the trucking industry.
Pat took pride in doing a good job. He was very reliable and
an all around good guy, with a very big heart.
He was willing to help anyone in need.

Pat was a great guy..I always enjoyed meeting up with him and visiting..He was neighbor to my mom and when she passed, Pat bought an old car of my dad's; I told him when he got it fixed up, I wanted a ride in it again ...
