Send FlowersRose Murillo Zamarron, lovingly known by family as Rosie, was born on January 24, 1952, in Los Angeles, CA to Ruth Caldera and Andres Murillo. She was the second daughter and the third child out of 12 siblings. At the age of 16, Rosie met her now husband Rudolfo (Rudy) Zamarron through our oldest brother Andres Murillo II. They fell in love and were married on February 4, 1969. This year, 2025, Rosie and Rudy celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.
Rosie had a strong commitment to family. Along with Rudy, they raised three strong children - Rudy Jr, Roxanne, and Robinette. She was always there to support her children by being available to assist with her 13 grandchildren. These grandchildren blessed her with 9 great grandchildren. A true legacy.
Not only was Rosie a respected Mother and Grandmother, she was also a committed Granddaughter. Rosie was always available to help her grandfather, Domingo Caldera during his aging days. So many people came into her life that called her Mom or Tia, even if they were not related, because she took the time to care for and unselfishly give to others.
Rosie worked as a teacher’s aide assisting children with special needs in a San Jose school district. She found this to be a rewarding job and was sad to be leaving it, as were the teachers and students. Rosie enjoyed and excelled as an Avon and Tupperware representative. The women at the neighborhood Senior Center loved when she came by with her Avon and Tupperware books and inventory. They were some of her best customers. But there was one customer that was above them all - herself. Rosie believed in her products.
Rosie was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan evidenced by her Cowboy collections. To embrace her sense of adventure, Rosie loved to read. Going places through the pages of a book enabled her to cope with the numerous chemo treatments she underwent.
Rosie's love language was gift giving. Anytime she saw something she believed a friend or family member might like and appreciate, she would gift it to them. Just as she did during Sisters Day gatherings for over 30 years.
Dear Rose, we will miss you deeply. It is time for you to rest and be with the family that awaits you with open arms in HEAVEN.
A Celebration of Rose’s Life will be held on August 2, 2025, from 12 NOON to 4 PM at the at the VFM - Gilroy, located 74 W. Sixth Street, Gilroy CA. Please join us to share your memories.
