Ruth Mientus Schaffer Obituary

Ruth A. Schaffer, 97, of Lower Saucon Twp. died Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem.  She is the wife of the late Alexander Mientus.  Ruth was born in Northampton on October 24, 1927 to the late James and Martine (Greismer) Hartman.   She is a graduate of Northampton High School.  Ruth worked in the Textile industry for many years.  

Ruth is survived by her loving daughter: Susan  and her husband Anthony Bauer; 3 grandchildren; 7 great children.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday,,March 4, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3219 Santee Road, Bethlehem, PA.  The interment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.  Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at: www.heintzelmancares.com.  Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. – Hellertown.
