Sharon Knapp Obituary

Sharon May (Schafer) Knapp, 74, of Thompsonville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Munson Medical Center, in Traverse City. She was the daughter of Charles and Betty Schafer. She was born May 30, 1951, in Howell, Michigan. 

Sharon enjoyed quilting, camping, kayaking, parades, fireworks, yard sales, and most of all, spending time with her family. 

Sharon is survived by: her husband, Roy Knapp; son, Gary Knapp; son, Ray (Patty) Knapp; daughter, Lynnette (Doug) Jajo; grandchildren, Tim Knudsen, Brandon (Sarah) Knapp, Shawnna (Travis) Miller, Lorrain Knapp (Jimmy), Kirstie Knapp (Justin), Gary Knapp Jr. (Amanda), Doug Jr. (Lexie) Jajo, Kelsie (Nate) Hagele, and Ethan Jajo (Kyleigh); and multiple great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Beverly Donald, Bonnie Peterson, Darlen Wilson, Chrlene Saunder, and Roberta (Rick) Ellis.

She was preceded in death by: her mother and father-in-law, Clyde and Alice Knapp; her parents, Charles and Betty Schafer; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Donald, Woody Wilson, and Richard Peterson. 

A Celebration of her life, will be held at a later date. 

The Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, is in charge of arrangements.
