Joseph Lisenbee Obituary

Joseph H. Lisenbee, 83, of Mars Hill, passed away, June 16, 2025. He was the son of the late Robert Lisenbee and Nina Rice Griffee. Mr. Lisenbee was a US Veteran and a retired truck driver. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, William and James Lisenbee and Larry Griffee. Joseph was survived by his wife, Joan Nelms Lisenbee; sons, Joey Lisenbee (Debbie), Jonathan Lisenbee (Susan) and Jason Lisenbee (Anna); sister, Margaret Vance; brother, Mark Griffee; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Orr (Harrison), Loran Lisenbee, Jessica Swann (Payton), Syndey and Nicole Honeycutt; great grandchildren, Eli, Conner, Luke and Shayleigh and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 3:00pm Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Dennis Anderson will officiate.
