Margot Coleman Obituary

Dr. Margot Coleman died peacefully on July 19, 2025. She was preceded in death by Bernard, her husband of 55 years, Paul, her son, and Evan, her grandson. She is survived by her two sons, David and Jonathan (Cindy), and Elizabeth, her daughter-in-law, along with four grandchildren. Margot began life in the UK shortly before WWII. The challenges of growing up during war instilled a sense of making the most out of what she had, wasting nothing. She graduated from medical school with honors and also met the love of her life there. Beyond family, Margot had two primary pursuits in life: sports and music. She played tennis and hockey as long as her body allowed and was always up for a competitive challenge. Music, however, was her true lifetime joy. Although she enjoyed concerts, her real passion was making music whether with her sisters, at church, in Choral Societies, or just breaking out in song at home, often in front of unsuspecting guests at the dinner table. This quirk could be both hilarious and uncomfortable, especially when her sons brought home girlfriends to meet the family. Margot led a full life, raising a family, helping those in need through social work and hospice, traveling the world, and brightening the day of anyone within earshot as she sang random tunes. In honor of Margot, sing a song whenever you think of her and let it bring a smile to you and anyone nearby. There will be no services or visitation.
