Leslie Neice Obituary

Leslie Ann Farrell Neice

We lost our beloved mother and wife, Leslie Ann Farrell Neice, on 13 September 2025 to a courageous neurological battle. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Leslie was born in Sherman TX on 9 April 1957 to Lee and Sophie Farrell, a birthdate she shared with her mother. As a child, she also lived in Wiesbaden Germany, St Albans VT and Colorado Springs CO, the daughter of a military family. She graduated from Benet Hill Academy in Colorado Springs in 1975.

She met her husband Mark while he was attending the US Air Force Academy, and they were married on 10 May 1980. Together, they lived in Lubbock TX, Merced CA, Marquette MI, Dayton OH, Edwards AFB CA, Melbourne FL and Albuquerque NM. They settled in Albuquerque after Mark's retirement from the Air Force. They have three grown children and their spouses; Kyle and Gemma, Shaun and Chrissy, both in Albuquerque, Caitlin and Ryan in Lakewood CO. Through the foreign exchange program, they have three bonus daughters; Keiko (Japan), Sarah (Australia) and Alessia (Italy). They have two beautiful grandchildren, Declan and Zooey, with whom they have shared many vacations across the country, exploring the US National Parks. And they recently added three bonus grandsons, Jack, Luke and Brody.

Together, Leslie and Mark traveled the world, going to Europe, South America, Antarctica, Australia, and Asia. They also visited Canada, Mexico and 48 of 50 states together. Her favorite spots were in southern Colorado and Kona HI. Together, they lived, they loved, and they laughed.

Leslie is survived by her immediate family; two sisters Christine and Mary Kay; three brothers David, Kevin and Brian; three brothers-in-law, George, John and Russell; one sister-in-law, Mary; 32 nephews and nieces; numerous cousins and their families, and more friends across the globe than can be counted.

Leslie was a devout Catholic and raised her family to respect life and liberty. She was an independent mind, never afraid to express her thoughts, and to fight bravely for her beliefs. She was the love of her family's life.

A Memorial service will be held on 25 October 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper Ave NW, in Albuquerque. The Rosary will be recited at 1:00 pm with the memorial Service to follow at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, Leslie wanted donations to be made to the Benet Hill Monastery in Colorado Springs,

We were so sad to hear about Les's passing. Her smiles and laughter at Scouting events, and at work conferences, her devotion to her family, and her kindness set her apart. Our condolences for your sadness.

I was one of Leslie“s high school friends. I always admired Leslie for her compassion towards others and her beliefs. She was not afraid to speak about things she believed in. She had a great laugh and smile!
