Craig Stripling Obituary

North Augusta, SC - Mr. Craig Stripling, 66, of North Augusta, entered into rest at his home on October 18, 2025. Memorial Services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, October 22nd, at 3 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Fr. Eric Biddy and Rev. Al Branson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 2 until 3 o'clock. A private interment will be held at a later date. Craig was born May 13, 1959, to the late Loron Stripling and Lucy JoAnn Barfield Stripling. He was a native of Jackson, SC, having made North Augusta his home for over 30 years. Craig graduated from Jackson High School in 1977 and would go on to work at the Savannah River Site, retiring as an Engineer with 32 years of service. He was a classic car enthusiast and a talented musician, having played professionally for a number of years with multiple bands. Craig was known for his outgoing personality, his generous nature, and the joy he had in making others smile. Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his son, Zane Stripling (Anna); his brother, Michael Stripling (Libby); one granddaughter; a nephew, Richard Stripling (Tina); two nieces, Amy Frey (Ted) and Melissa Mckenzie (Logan); and a host of great-nephews and great-nieces. Memorial donations may be made to either St. Paul's Church or the Olde Town Preservation Association of North Augusta.
