June Weston Obituary

June Marlene Weston went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the Allina Health Restorative Suites in Plymouth MN.

A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Palisade MN on Wednesday October 30th at 11:00 AM with a Memorial Service taking place on Tuesday November 12th at 1:30 PM with visitation one hour prior at the Grace Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

June, better known to her friends and family as Marlene and "Auntie Mar" was born May 29, 1941 in Palisade, Minnesota. She grew up in Palisade with her parents and 10 siblings. Marlene graduated from Aitkin High School and attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. After attending Bob Jones she moved back to Minnesota and lived most of her years in the Minneapolis area.

Marlene attended Grace Church of Edina/Eden Prairie. She was very passionate about missions. Over the years while at Grace Church she traveled to several mission fields to visit and to labor with missionaries her church supports. If she wasn't involved with missions in some way she was working in the children's summer Bible School programs, women's ministries or attending a Bible study or prayer group. Marlene loved her Lord and loved her church.

Marlene worked at various places over the years including Service Master in St Cloud, Business Administrator at Grace Church in Edina, Office Manager at Zins Chiropractic in Bloomington and Campus Director at Eagle Crest Presbyterian Home in Roseville. After her retirement she lived for a short time in Grand Rapids, MN where she obtained both her real estate and insurance licenses.

Marlene was never married nor had children. But she treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her children. It did not matter if the nieces or nephews lived in Minnesota or across the country she managed to take time to visit them, send a card or a call to let them know they were important to her and that God loved them. She also had close relationships with her brothers and sisters and loved them all dearly.

Survived by Brother Clifford "Skip" (Pat) Weston and a sister Violette Spolarich. Proceeded in death by her parents: Charles and Myrtle Weston, brothers: Charlies Jr. "Chub", Lawrence "Date", Myrle "Sonny", Curtiss, Earle, Deane, Kenneth and a sister: Maxine Carlson.
