Francine Templet Obituary

FRANCINE TEMPLET, AGE 85 And a resident of Franklinton passed away Tuesday afternoon August 5, 2025 at her home. She was born in New Orleans on March 12, 1940 and was a longtime resident of the West Bank, but had lived in Washington Parish for over 40 years. Francine worked for 20 years as a bank teller at Jefferson Guaranty Bank and most recently, she and her husband managed the V.F.W. in Covington, hosting Bingo nights and also cooking and cleaning for the many receptions. She enjoyed watching her favorite crime drama TV shows and she always loved communicating with her family and friends on Facebook. Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Suzie and West Goodrich of Franklinton Grandchildren: Holly, Rachel, Ryan, Michael Numerous beloved great-grandchildren Sister and Brother in law: Patricia and Brian Klause Sister in law: Shirley Sigur Also numerous nieces, nephews and their families She was preceded in death by her son Timothy Herbert Templet, daughter Sheila Darity, husband Herbert Templet, parents Stewart Smith and Leona Manzella Smith, a sister Nida Toups and other family members. A memorial service for her family will be held in the near future.
