Jeanette Wesley Obituary

Jeanette Wesley was born on January 30, 1941, in Galveston, TX, she lived most of her life in Bogalusa, LA and passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025. Jeanette dedicated many years of her life to serving others, working as a talented hairdresser and later as a trusted life insurance agent. She loved to cut hair and volunteer at Myrtles Nursing Home in her later years of life. She attended Chapel of The Cross Church in Columbia, MS. She was deeply devoted to her family, her friends, and her beloved ShihTzus - Little Man, Sadie, & many more loved ones. Known for her contagious laugh and magnetic personality, she was truly the life of every party. Her warmth, humor, and strength left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege to know her. She was preceded in death by her mother Kathryn Jeanette Nipper Wesley, Father Robert Glen Wesley, Brother Robert "Bubba" Glen Wesley Jr, Daughter Glenda Dell Shelton, Husband Larry Mitchell, & Grandson Robert Dale Howard. She is survived by Daughter Kathryn "Kathy" Hand Morgan/Danny, Daughter Lori Jeanette Hand Reid/George, and Son Woodrow T Simmons Jr "Bodie"/Angel, Brother Braden Wesley/Betty. She had 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews along with a host of dear friends and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.
