Patricia Ann Skaggs, age 73, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on October 16, 2025, with her Husband Clyde by her side.
Patti was born on March 9,1952, to Virginia Bradley Pantaleo. She graduated from Moberly High School (class of 1970) and from Moberly Area Community College where she earned an Associate’s-degree with an interest in Social Work. She worked early in her life at Orscheln Brake Lever in Moberly, at home raising her two children Jeff and Shawna, later in a Medical Receptionist position at Carney and Carmichael Chiropractors and the same position at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Additionally, she enjoyed her time more recently in a secretary / receptionist role with the Moberly School District and at the Family Life Fellowship Church where she and Clyde were members. Patti and Clyde were united in marriage on Valentines Day 1974 and celebrated 50 years of marriage last year.
Patti’s friends and family will always remember her for her generosity, thoughtful gift giving and her kind heart. She volunteered for the American Heart Association and loved to care for animals.
Patti is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Bradley Pantaleo and her stepfather Vince Pantaleo.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde Skaggs of Moberly, Missouri; her son, Jeffrey Wayne (Lisa) Kitchen of West Chester, Pennsylvania, her daughter, Shawna Kitchen (Tobias) Heddinghaus of Edwardsville, Illinois; her brother, Everett Edgar of Huntsville, Missouri; her grand-daughter, Taylor Kitchen (Eric) Howe, of St. Petersburg, Florida, her grand-daughter Courtney Kitchen (Max) Honig of Norwalk, Connecticut, her grand-daughter Lillian Heddinghaus of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and her grand-daughter Ella Heddinghaus of Columbia, Missouri.
A visitation and funeral service celebrating Patti’s life has been scheduled for Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, Missouri. Her burial will occur at a later date in a private ceremony at the Skaggs family plot within Evergreen Cemetery in De Witt, Missouri.
