Donald Vermillion Obituary

Union Furnace Donald O. Vermillion, age 79, of Union Furnace, Ohio, passed away May 21, 2025, at the Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.

Don was born on December 23, 1945, in Logan, Ohio to Willmut Vermillion and Ruth Vermillion. He was a graduate of Starr-Washington High School and Andrews Barber College; owner/operator of Plaza Barber Shop, Athens; and enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking pictures, and most of all being with family.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Vermillion; sons, Tracy (Krista) Vermillion of Logan and Andrew (Brandi) Vermillion of New Lexington; grandchildren, Kaylee Vermillion of Logan, Raven Vermillion of New Lexington, Ariana Vermillion of New Lexington, and Kaylynn (Joe) Perez; siblings, Shirley Horton of Logan, Wendell Vermillion of Jackson, and Gary Vermillion of Athens; and many nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, June, Vivian, Lloyd, Floyd, Kathy, Chet, Vic, and Larry; and his beloved pet, Barney.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. He will be encrypted in the Mausoleum at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
