WAKEM, Bertrand

Bertrand C. Wakem passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at the age of 94. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, Bert's life was marked by service, dedication, and love for his family. Bert proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, where he served during the Korean War and later retired. He was a faithful member of the Peachtree Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he found spiritual fulfillment and fellowship. Bert was preceded in death by his beloved sons, David Clark Wakem and Randall Glenn Wakem; and his brother, Donald Wakem. He is survived by his cherished wife, Mary Jean Wakem, who stood by his side throughout their many years together. He leaves behind his loving daughters, Vicki Duncan, Sheri Pepper and her husband, Frank, and Karen Miller and her husband, Randy. He is also survived by his dear sister, Anita Jacobs; and her husband, Frank. Bert was blessed with many loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Parrott Funeral Home Chapel, where we will gather to honor and remember a life well-lived.

Bertrand C. Wakem will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
