Leon Cohen Obituary

Leon Cohen, of Perry Hall, MD, passed away on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Cohen; by his daughters, Lisa Cohen Jones and Robin Cohen (Liz Lassner); and by his grandsons, Jacob Jones and Justin Jones. He was predeceased by his parents, Elsie and Harry Cohen.

Leon Cohen grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised by his grandparents and mother. He meet Shirley and got married at the young age of 21. He tried to give his children everything he didn't have as a young child. He was a very handy man and smart. He was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at 47 and dealt with a lot pain but he was tough and made the best life he could while dealing with this disease. He was a good hearted husband, father and grandfather. He told great true stories. He will be dearly missed.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel 8900 Reisterstown Road Pikesville, MD 21208, on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, at 1:30 pm. Interment Beth El Memorial Park. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Boys Town Jerusalem Foundation of America. The family will be in mourning at 4822 Vicky Road, Baltimore, MD 21236.
