Michael Smith Obituary

ORANGE CITY - Michael Raymond "Mike" Smith, 77, died Sept. 7, 2025. He will be interred with military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6.
Mike was born Jan. 7, 1948, in DeLand, the son of Henry R. and Corrine L. Smith.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a cryptologist stationed in Taiwan, Republic of China.
Subsequently, he worked in various positions related to the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of sophisticated computer, electromedical and physical-therapy equipment.
Mike co-owned a Caribbean shipping and trading company. His great passions, however, were for motorcycles and muscle cars.
He is survived by his two brothers, Mark H. of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Matt C. of Daytona Beach, four nephews and one niece.
