KAITLYN BIRDSELL Obituary

KAITLYN BIRDSELL Kaitlyn Elizabeth Birdsell, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 5, 1987, in Springfield, the daughter of Jim and Christine Birdsell. Kaitlyn became a mother on October 16, 2014, to her daughter Joslyn, and she survives. In addition to her daughter, Kaitlyn is survived by her parents, Jim and Christine (Vana) Birdsell; one sister, Meghan (Chris) Meyer; nieces, Kenzie Meyer, Addison Meyer; Aunts and Uncles, Barb (Helmut) Luchs, Klaus, Luchs, Hans,(Behin) Luchs, Alma (Larry) Schall; and two cousins, Travis (Jaquelyn) Birdsell, and Tierney Birdsell. She is preceded in death by one brother, James Birdsell; one uncle, Tom (Surviving wife Linda) Birdsell, and Maternal Grandparents Richard and Margaret Vana. Kaitlyn was a very detail-oriented person; she loved crafts, shopping, and even couponing. She loved her dogs, chickens, playing games, and spending holidays together with her family. Kaitlyn's nieces also kept her busy, going to many sporting events and playing many games together. Family was very important to Kaitlyn, especially her beautiful daughter Joslyn, whom she loved with her entire heart. Private services will be held in honor of Kaitlyn Birdsell. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Joslyn Birdsell Educational Fund. Airsman-Hires in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
