Donald Keiser Obituary

Donald Allen Keiser

October 8, 1955 - May 13, 2025

Millstadt, Illinois - Donald Allen Keiser passed away on May 13, 2025 at Missouri Baptist Hospital, after facing pancreatic cancer. Born on October 8, 1955, Don brought warmth and quiet strength to those around him throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marguerite Keiser. Don is survived by his siblings: Larry (Nancy) Keiser of Buda, Texas; Steven Keiser of Fayetteville, Tennessee; and Suzanne Keiser of Mehlville, Missouri. In addition, he is survived by his "favorite niece", Kimberly Keiser of Buda, Texas.

In his younger years, Don enjoyed playing softball and was an active participant in numerous bowling leagues. His love for sports extended beyond the field and lanes Don often took on the role of social coordinator for outings to St. Louis Cardinals and Gateway Grizzlies games, bringing together family and friends.

Though known for a quiet demeanor, Don's competitive spirit shone through when it came to sports. In recent years, he found joy in early morning pickleball matches at the YMCA, relishing the camaraderie shared with fellow retirees.

Don's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those he touched.

An informal Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Ott's Tavern in Millstadt, IL to share memories with family and friends.

I remember Don as my little cousin at Christmas time at our Grandma's and Grandpa's house. He was a great kid and though the years have long passed, he will be missed.

I became friends with Don through our YMCA Pickleball grp. I so enjoyed his dry humor and fun spirit. We also discussed the Cardinals as he went to many day ballgames where I worked. He is missed and spoken of often.RIP Don.

Yes, Don was quiet and friendly. Remembering him as a classmate for those characteristics and for his scholastic acumen. He won the spelling bee championship at our school while only a 6th grade student, competing against 7th snd 8th grade semifinalists. Condolences to his family and family of friends.
