Pamela was born the fourth of four children to the late Larry and Georgia Brockett, Sr., in Brooklyn, New York on June 5, 1963. In her early days she attended the elementary school system in Baldwin, Long Island, then in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated with honors from Thomas Jefferson High School, Brooklyn, New York in 1981. On a scholarship, Pamela studied at Alderson Broaddus University, in Phillippi, West Virginia. After college, she pursued her passion – she went to cosmetology school where she earned her New York State Cosmetology license.
Pamela was a member of Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ, then Goodwill Church of God in Christ, in Brooklyn, New York. After working at “Black Hair Is” for a couple of years, Pamela stepped out on faith to soar on wings like an eagle and opened her own hair salon-- “Pamela’s” in Brooklyn, New York. The 1980’s was a professional hair stylist dream. Pamela hands worked wonders with relaxers, braids, Bantu knot, sew-in weaves, and the famous “Jheri curl”. You name it Pamela’s hands worked it!
“Auntie Pam and Pam TT,” as she was affectionately called, loved all genres of music, her love of the arts, loved dancing, traveling, cooking gourmet dishes, and her dog Cougar, topping all that off with a sense of humor beyond measure. Pamela’s signature looks spanned the spectrum on a daily basis. Monday, you might see Pam rocking curls, Tuesday, a blunt bob style, Wednesday, a ponytail, and by Friday, braids. Pam held hair fashion shows, competed and won loads of hair competitions, attended as-well-as participated around the country for Dudley Hair Care products. Before her onset of illness, Pamela divided her time between New York and Florida. She loved her family and had a close bond with all her siblings and their mates. Pam was eternally grateful for her “Uncle Bubba and her Auntie Phyllis” for all the love and care and support that they bestowed upon her. One thing for sure we all could count on our Pam, regardless of the day or hour.
Pamela was preceded in death by father, Larry A. Brockett, Sr.; mother, Georgia M. Brockett; sister, Beatrice C. Brockett; her “second mother, Carolyn A. Brockett and her lifelong friend Barbara Harris.
Pamela leaves to mourn and cherish her memories with sister, Deborah Brown (Wesley Chapel, Florida); her three brothers, Larry A. Brockett, Jr. (Far Rockaway, New York), Anthony Brockett (Newark, New Jersey) and Reginald Brockett (Kutztown, Pennsylvania); one brother-in-law, John, Jr.; three sisters-in-law, Samantha, Tara, and Patricia; thirteen nieces and nephews, Cory, Romell, DaVaughn, Isaiah, Destini, Tamaya, Jeremiah, Briyanah, Kalil, Tia, Tanae, Devin and Jahrel; eight grandnieces and nephew, Brielle, Amaya, Mia, Jurnee, Anthony III, Emory, Nouri and Noelle, three nieces-in-law, Sierra, Alicia and Alena; her cousins she spent most of her time with, Sharon Slappey (Columbus, Ohio), Charles Bentley (Savannah, Georgia), Felice Hightower Britt (Charlotte, North Carolina), James Hightower, Jr, (Fairfield, California), Peter Hightower (affectionally known as Pam’s “Baby) (Brooklyn, New York), Sandra A. Pendarvis (Queens, New York), and her “big cousin” Cheryl Lowman (Jonesboro, Georgia); two aunts, Felice Vines (William, Sr.) and Phyllis Hightower (Brooklyn, New York); three uncles, Ronald, Sr., Edwin, Sr., and Julius, Jr. (Brenda) and a host of cousins.
On the evening of March 13, 2025, as Pamela rested the Lord came to claim His Angel and he wrapped her in His loving wings to join His flock. She is now in heaven with a host of loved ones. We take comfort in knowing that Pam is with God and will never have to shed another tear nor feel any more pain. She no longer has to be tired or have any worries. We know that we have “Pam” as our guardian angel to watch over us. You will be missed Pam, but never forgotten, for you are here in our spirit and in our hearts forever. WE LOVE YOU!
Pam, you left us beautiful memories, your love will always be our guide, and though we cannot see you, we will always feel you by our side.

Dear Pam, thank you for all the special memories I do have of my childhood. There's not one where you weren't in them. I'm comforted by knowing you are no longer in pain and reunited with all those who preceeded you. Please say hello to our beloved Nonnie for me. Love you always Pam for you still live now more than ever.
