Letha May Benkert, age 97, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025. She was born on November 21, 1927, to Forrest and May (Sloan) Moore. Letha was a woman of many talents, with a deep love for life and an enduring sense of creativity.

I was blessed to become part of this family in 1983. Aunt Letha was always a strong, independent woman that never wanted the spotlight. One of her beautiful paintings hangs in my living room where I enjoy it daily. I will miss her conversation (which was never more than getting her point across) She touched more people's hearts than she realized. Always will be my role model for being a widow.
