Albert Norman Obituary

In Loving Memory of Albert Earl Norman
A Life Well-Lived
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert "Earl" Norman, who left us peacefully on June 5th, 2025, at the age of 90. Earl was a beloved husband, father, family member (aka "Bubba and Uncle Bubba"), and friend. His legacy of community service, love for his family, and strong Christian beliefs will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Earl was born in Montgomery, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Janet Norton Norman, first wife, Betty Jean Norman, parents, John Albert Norman and Sallie Lou Athey Norman, sisters Jean Norman Neal and Vivian Norman Roten, and niece Dawn Roten. He is survived by his son, Frank (Brenda) Norman, sisters Elizabeth Norman Sellers, Ruby Norman Milligan, several nieces, Kim Milligan Calvert, Debi Milligan Teal, Fran Pugh and nephews, Randy Neal, Rick Neal, Jim Milligan, Joe Sellers, and stepdaughter Kendall (John Shirley) Russell.
Earl's professional journey began at age fifteen at Robert F. Henry Tile of Alabama, where his work ethic set him apart. During his fifty years of service there, he helped his company expand to locations across Alabama by starting new stores and by managing the Birmingham, Alabama location.
Following retirement, Earl continued to serve as a community leader in Trussville, Alabama during the expansion and development phase of the area. He was a devout Christian and church deacon for several years.
On June 12th, A Gathering of Friends will be held at Deerfoot Memorial from 9:00am-10:00am with the Service from 10:00am-10:30am. Following the Service, burial is at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama for those wishing to attend.
Earl's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

I was so fortunate to have known Earl as a child. There are few childhood memories that I hold as dear as the days I spent at my Granny Norman and Grampy Earl's house. From feeding Dotty, riding around in his golf cart, picking up chestnuts and pecans, and making doll houses in the workshop, to traveling up to "Amish country", Earl was such an important role model to myself and my sister. He will be deeply missed but his memory will remain in our hearts forever.

I want to express my sympathy to the family, especially Frankie. I have great memories of Earl including the summer of 1977 when I worked in the Birmingham warehouse with Earl and Cynthia West. Unfortunately, I will be on a work trip to Memphis on Thursday and will not be able to attend the service. Sincerely, Rob Henry
