Franklin R. Martz

October 4, 1945 - May 12, 2025

Franklin "Frank" R. Martz, 79 of Rugby, died Monday, May 12, 2025 with his daughter by his side at Trinity Hospital in Minot, North Dakota. He was born on October 4, 1945 in Ashley, North Dakota, to Ruben and Edna L. (Herman) Martz. He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Martz of St. Louis Park, MN; his friend & children's mother, Marcia Forrester of Mound, MN and brother, Kirby (Cheryle) Martz of Bismarck. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Martz (Sept. 2024) and his parents, Ruben Martz and Edna (Reinhold) Dockter. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18th at First Lutheran Church in Rugby with burial in the Persilla Watts Cemetery, with dinner and fellowship to follow in the church basement. Visitation will be held for one hour before the time of services at the church on Sunday.
