With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Susan H. Cornelio, age 76, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on June 3, 2025.
Susan was the heart of our family- a woman whose warmth radiated through every homemade meal, every garden bloom, and every quiet act of love. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and joy, where she lovingly baked treats that always brought people together.
Susan also had a spirited sense of adventure- she loved to be out and about, exploring new places, discovering little treasures, and soaking in the world.
Her love ran deep and her presence made every day brighter.
Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave, the joy she brought, and the strength she had will live on in all of us. We are endlessly grateful for the moments we shared and the memories we hold dear.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull, CT. Friends may greet the family on Friday, directly at the church. Interment will immediately follow at Nichols Village Cemetery, in Trumbull (behind the Nichols Firehouse).
In lieu of flowers or donations, we suggest that you plant a tree, flower or small garden in Susan's memory- either at home or in a public/community space.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
