Of Cheektowaga, entered into rest on May 22, 2025. Beloved wife of the late James J. Gurney; devoted mother of Rose (Dave) Burkowski and Jim (Nancy) Gurney; cherished grandmother of Lauren (Mike) Veith, Nicholas (Brittany) Burkowski, Kayla Gurney (Matt Schiliro) and Meghan (Charles) Root; adored great grandmother of Allison Burkowski and Charlotte Veith; dear sister of Sharon (Robert) Yormick, Patrick (Mary) McGowan, the late Raymond Canton, the late Pamela Pidisi and the late Richard McGowan. Also loved by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Sunday (May 25) from 1-5 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthews (Chapel), 2644 Clinton St. near Old French, West Seneca on Tuesday (May 27) at 1 PM. Interment will follow. SO SORRY TO HEAR OF NOREEN'S PASSING. WE USED TO WALK HOME FROM HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL TOGETHER FOR 8 YEARS. WE WOULD OCCASIONALY SEE EACH OTHER AND CATCH UP ON OUR LIVES. SHE ALWAYS HAD A BIG SMILE WHEN WE MET UP.
