Beverly Osborne Obituary

INDIANOLA – Beverly Joan Osborne passed away Monday July 14, 2025 in her home in Indianola, Iowa, at the age of 92.
Services for Beverly will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 19, at Overton Funeral Home, Indianola, with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to services. Memorials in memory of Beverly may be given to Calvary Baptist Church in Indianola.
Beverly was born in rural Buchanan County, Iowa on September 29, 1932 to John and Ida (Rasmussen) Nelson. She graduated from Quasqueton High School in 1950. Beverly lived in Rowley, Quasqueton, and Independence, Iowa before moving to Indianola in 2013. Beverly was active in church, attending Pine Creek Mission Church in rural Independence, First Baptist Church in Independence, First Baptist Church in Indianola, and most recently Calvary Baptist Church in Indianola.
Beverly enjoyed reading, playing cards, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
On August 24, 1991, Beverly was united in marriage to George Edwin Osborne in Independence.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Leonard (Geraldine) Nelson, Gerald (Shirley) Nelson, Vernon (Catherine) Nelson, Sidney (Bernadene) Nelson, Max Nelson; and her sister, Evelyn (Wilbur) Bender. Beverly is survived by her husband, George Osborne; four step-daughters: Linda Osborne, Roxann Osborne, Kathryn (Bill) Thayer, Barbara (Larry) Black; a step-son, Anthony (Mayra) Osborne; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
