Carolyn Louise Noland, a beloved mother, grandmother, and a cherished friend to many, passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on April 9, 1937, she touched the lives of everyone around her with her kindness, love, and unyielding spirit. In 1954 she married Arnold F. "Tink" Noland and together raised 4 beautiful children. Carolyn spent most of her life as a devoted homemaker, later serving her community as a Pharmacy Technician at Marley Pharmacy, where her warmth and care made every interaction special. Those who had the fortune of enjoying her culinary creations will forever remember her as the talented chef who made the best potato salad with egg and irresistible chocolate chip cookies. She took great pride in placing these sweet treats in Charlie Chip Cookie Tins to share with friends and family, further spreading joy through her thoughtful gestures. A delightful personality, Carolyn was known for her generous heart. She loved everyone and always wore a smile that could light up even the dullest day. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, from feeding cats and birds to playing Canasta with family and friends at the gazebo. Her laughter filled the air during bingo games played at St. Johns, and Church Creek VFD, she cherished watching sunsets at Hoopersville, finding beauty in nature's daily masterpiece. She was a devoted member of Hosier United Methodist Church while enjoying the women's club. Carolyn also held the position of the church secretary for many years. She was a member of AARP and enjoyed seeing her friends at the gatherings. Carolyn leaves behind a loving family that will miss her dearly. She is survived by her son, Stanley Noland and his wife Carol; her daughter, Deborah Noland Teare and her husband James; and her daughter, Kathleen Noland Maisel and her husband Larry. Carolyn was the proud grandmother of Jonathan T. Noland, Tyler D. Noland, Austin P. Noland, Dustin Noland, James G. Brewer, Anastasia Rogers, Jessica M. Hooper, Jimmy Teare, Mary E. Teare, Emily C. Teare, Kera Jo Beasley, Tyera Lyn Cherrey, Jenny Barton, Chip Barton, Samantha Ross, Adrienne Castle, Nicole Hartwig, Allison Grover, and Bradley Grover. Her legacy will also carry on through her great-grandchildren: Ava Marie Hooper, Natalie S. Brewer, Athena C. Beasley, Herrison C. Hardy, Adam Hooper, David Rogers, James B. Hartwig, Ben Rogers, Noah Rogers, James Brewer II, Nathaniel Brewer, Sebastian Brewer, Ellie Teare, Nora Teare, James Teare III, Kailyn Noland, Elena Noland, and Michaela Noland. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Richard Henry Uren, Sr.; her mother, Helen Louise Heinzerling Uren; her husband, Arnold F. "Tink"; Noland, Jr., who departed this world on December 2, 2011; her son, Clifton Noland; and her brother, Richard Uren. Her spirit will continue to inspire and illuminate the lives of all who knew her. Carolyn will be remembered not just for the memories created with loved ones but also for the love she freely gave and the lives she transformed through her compassion and kindness. A visitation will be held in her honor at Hosier Memorial UM Church in
Fishing Creek, Maryland, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joe Kelly officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, Maryland at a later date. As we gather to celebrate her life, we are reminded of the extraordinary impact she had on so many hearts and will forever hold her memory close.
