Russell Currier Obituary

September 25, 1933 - September 1, 2024.

Russ has gone to his heavenly home and has finally re-joined his loving wife, Dorothy Currier.

Lifelong Perryville resident, Russ served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and his community as the Perryville Postmaster. Russ was married for 58 years to the love of his life, Dorothy "Dottie" Currier. Together they raised a daughter, Bobbie Sheppard Carter.

Russ is survived by his daughter, Bobbie; granddaughters, Elizabeth Stambaugh and Rachel Chevres; and great-grandsons, Alexander and Atticus Stambaugh.

Russ was a known and loved member of his community. He will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Russ was preceded in death by his grandson, Andrew Carter; and sister, Nancy A. Currier.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the St. Mark's Episcopal Church Cemetery fund.

Russ will be laid to rest at a graveside service Saturday,10 AM, September 7, 2024 in the St. Mark's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
