Sharyn Pavone Obituary
April 11, 1945 - March 21, 2025
Bellefonte, Pennsylvania - Sharyn A. Pavone, 79, of Bellefonte, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 11, 1945, in Greensburg, PA, to the late Daniel M. and Elizabeth (Loomis) Melville. On August 16, 1969, in Bellefonte, she married her best friend and beloved husband, Michael A. Pavone, who survives at home after sharing 55 years of marriage together.
Sharyn was a 1963 graduate of Hempfield High School and attended Westmoreland Hospital of Nursing receiving her degree as a registered nurse in 1966. She was a dedicated nurse and worked throughout the Centre County area starting at Mount Nittany Hospital, Juniper Village at Brookline and for Centre Crest Nursing home, retiring in 2011 after over 40 years. Sharyn loved decorating for each holiday, making sure every room matched and making sure her dishes accompanied as well! When she wasn't decorating, she enjoyed reading, creating items with ceramics and watching cheesy television shows. Sharyn and her husband loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of Americas in Bellefonte.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Davison (Rob) Pittsburgh, Kathryn Niemann (Joel) of Bellefonte, three grandsons, Jacob, Joshua, and Cameron Niemann. Also surviving is her sister, Barbara Bosio (Bill) of Greensburg.
She was preceded by her parents, her granddaughter, Julia Niemann, and sister, Susan Rich.
Friends will be received on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 9:00am until 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte. Catholic mass will begin at 10:00am at the Church with Father Joshi Narisetti officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sharyn's memory to St. John's Catholic School at 116 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.

I worked with Sharyn at CCH and at The Fairways.
I loved Sharyn for her no
nonsense attitude toward nursing and taking care of patients and her sense of humor when humor was most needed. I just learned of Sharyn's passing today. My love and condolences are with Mike and Jenn and Kate and all of her family. Rest peacefully, dear Sharyn

Sharyn was my first head nurse! I fondly remember her sense of humor and how she `told it like it was´ no matter the situation. Above all she was a woman of principle and I treasure the memories of my nursing association with her.

Sharyn is the person who you would want as a friend, and nurse. Quick- witted, honest, intelligent, and giving, we were honored to include her (and Michael!!) as our friends.
She will be sorely missed, but we will always feel the strength of her spirit!
