Marley was a dear friend and colleague. We both came to Odell Associates within a few months in 1985. He was a team builder and a mentor to many of us associates. For a season of our life, we both shared having children and raising families. Marley´s smile and kind words will live with many of us for many years to come. He helped all of us make Charlotte a better place to live. My wife and I will miss him. We thank our Lord Jesus Christ for his life. Blessings to the family.

I met Marley as a client when he was the corporate architect for RJ Reynolds and then worked closely with him on many projects after he joined Odell Associates as Director of Design. He and my father graduated together from the School of Design in 1962. Marley was a friend and mentor, and he had an immeasurable impact on my life. He was kind, compassionate, funny, super-smart, courageous, passionate about design, and I loved him very much. We connected often and I am terribly sad he is gone. God's blessings to Irene and the family.

I had both the honor and pleasure of working with Marley many years ago. Besides being a such a gentle and kind human being, he was one of the best design architects I have ever worked with. He was also a wonderful story teller who could land a punchline that would make everyone in the room laugh. I will miss him, his talents, and his wonderful voice.

How can you help but love Marley? A great Architect, smart, humble, honest, and generous to a fault. I consider all the time we spent together as friends and partners at Wolf Associates New York and Charlotte a gift on this passage through life, as good as it gets. May all of God's Blessings embrace Marley and Irene and their lovely family.
