Lavonne Cohoon Obituary

Lavonne (Bonnie) Beverly Cohoon

October 25, 1947 - June 26, 2025

Lavonne Beverly "Bonnie" Cohoon, age 77, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at Serenity House in Tomah, WI.

Born on October 25, 1947, in Chippewa Falls, WI, Bonnie was the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (Pregent) Cohoon. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1965 and went on to build a life filled with love and meaningful connections.

On March 4, 1967, Bonnie married Ronald J. McDonald in Racine, WI. They made their home in Chippewa Falls before relocating to the Orlando, FL area, where their daughter Lisa Catherine was born in 1979. Though they later divorced, Bonnie and Ron rekindled their bond and shared eight cherished years together before his passing in 2006.

Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her daughter Lisa Munson of Sparta, WI; sisters Nancy Richardson (Otto Hilp) of Eau Claire, WI and Marian Tremblay (Jim) of Sparta, WI; sisters-in-law Lorie Cohoon of Exeland, WI and Genevieve Cohoon of New Richmond, WI; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband Ronald J. McDonald; brothers Jerome and Raymond Cohoon; sisters Jannette Peterson (Raymond) and Katherine "Kitty" Vance (Richard); and sister-in-law Judy Cohoon.

At Bonnie's request, no formal service will be held. Celebrations of Life will be planned at a later date to honor her memory.

Condolences may be sent to her daughter: Lisa Munson, 205B East Ave., Sparta, WI 54656.

Bonnie's life was marked by enduring love and deep family bonds. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
