Mr. Claude Edward Tenner, Jr. was born to Shirley Ivey and Claude Edward Tenner, Sr. on April 10, 1965. He was called home unexpectedly on July 3, 2025 to be with our Heavenly Father.
Claude Edward Tenner, Jr., was a lifetime resident of Citrus County. At a young age, he was baptized and a faithful member of Grace Temple Church of The Living God under the leadership of Pastor Leroy Bellamy.
Claude loved being with family, listening to the music of Prince and maintaining his exotic saltwater fish (children). He could be a complex man, but to know him was to love him. Unpretentious and sincere, he spoke plainly and from the heart always meaning exactly what he said.
Claude leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Lisa Renee Tenner of 13 years; four children: Makia Tenner of Port Orange, FL, Tisa Tenner of Inverness, FL, Charles Jordan of Inverness, FL and Corey Benton, of Little Rock, Arkansas. He also leaves his parent, Shirley Ivey of Inverness, FL; Claude E. Tenner, Sr. (Chedene) of Inverness, FL and Viriginia F. Watson (Mother-in-Love) of Inverness, FL; two brothers: Harry Tenner (Brenda) of Inverness, FL and Eddie Ward of South Bend, IN; three sisters: Chrishna Tenner and LaToya Tenner Jones (Larry), both of Inverness, and Rachel Whaley of Bushnell, FL. and loving in-laws, Teresa Alexander (Doug) of Inverness, FL, Sharon Y. Watson of Inverness FL, Tarliece Steed of Inverness, FL, and Jani Polk (Kevin) of Chicago, IL.
Claude had five grandchildren: Desmond, Jaydon, Jayceon, Tallan and Ikora.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Chris Tenner. There are also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness. Bishop Douglas Alexander will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service begins.
