When I would see Dan, he was always positive and kind. I never talked to him much. He's a great friend to one and all

Warm hugs of comfort to all those who will miss Dan's presence the most.
I didn't know Dan, or any of you, but after reading his obituary, and the other post, I wanted to offer my condolences.
All war veterans "have seen a lot" but so many of the Vietnam era guys seemed to quietly learn not to sweat the small stuff and to really enjoy the simplest pleasures life had to offer, dancing, golfing, a good meal...
Blessings to all of you who had the pleasure of learning that from Dan.
May the road rise up to meet him!

Dan kicked it up to the music that was playing at the Smola Summer Bash last Saturday. He was like a Dad and showed me how to laugh at myself, not to take things so seriously. Thank you, for Dan all your help in understanding what Vets go through after coming home from combat. I am grateful for your love and service toward all of us. I believe we will see you again sometime.
PS: I hope you told the bean story when you lead that big meeting in the sky above.
