Sandra Mooney Obituary
SANDRA KAY MOONEY, 75, of Scott Depot, WV, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025.
She was born in 1950 to the late Charlie and Vera Gore in Boone County, WV. Sandra attended Faith Christian Fellowship in Buffalo, WV, and Madison Baptist Church on occasion. She enjoyed singing, dancing, studying God's Word, and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Mooney; sister, Sherry Dials; and infant brother, Danny Gore.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Melissa Pauley of Scott Depot, WV; grandchildren Summer Ward of Winfield, WV, Jacob Dempsey of Scott Depot, WV, Luke Pauley of South Charleston, WV, Amelia Pauley Clutter of Morgantown, WV; great grandchildren Silas White, Nellea (Nelly) Dempsey, Cadence Ward, and Gracyn Ward; brothers Charles Gore of Robinson, WV and Larry Gore of Quinland, WV. Sandra is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Services for Sandra will be 2 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, officiated by Pastor Paul Boggess. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Danville Memorial Park in Danville, WV.
