Leonard J. Snitily, 94, of Prague, Neb., entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, Neb. He was born March 14, 1931 on the family farm in rural Prague, Neb. to Joseph A. and Mary (Fujan) Snitily. Leonard attended District 19, a one room rural schoolhouse. He also enjoyed listening to polka music and dancing with his wife, Loretta. Other hobbies included gardening, puzzles, reading, having coffee with friends, playing cards, sharing family history and the Czech language and watching Wheel of Fortune. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Leonard was a lifelong member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Plasi, Neb. Throughout the years, he served as church trustee, Prague Farmer's Union Co-op Elevator, District 83 school board member and Elk Township Clerk for nearly 60 years. He received the Aksarben Pioneer Farm Family Award in 2010.

Darlene, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your father. It seems like yesterday I took a picture of you and your father on your wedding day. May you and your family find peace in knowing that he is with Jesus.
