Barbara Lindsey Obituary
Barbara Ann Lindsey, age 85, passed away peacefully in the early morning of September 19, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 2, 1940, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Richard E. Bigford and the late Mary-Ellen Kline.
Barb was raised in Caledonia and graduated from Caledonia High School with the Class of 1958. Not long after, she married the late Charles Lindsey. Together, they built a life in Marion, Ohio, where they raised four children: Michael (Sara) Lindsey, Richard (Angie) Lindsey, David (Linda) Lindsey, and Susan (Tom) Endsley.
Barb spent over 30 years working at Whirlpool before retiring. Retirement didn't slow her down-she began running a bingo game for the Knights of Columbus, where she became affectionately known as the "Bingo Queen." She cherished the friendships she built and the memories she created with so many in the Marion community.
Above all, Barb found her greatest joy in her family. Known lovingly as "Grandma Bingo," she treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether it was holidays, baking, storytelling, or simply being together, she made every moment special. Barb lived a life deeply rooted in her faith in God and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
Barbara is survived by her children: Michael (Sara) Lindsey, Richard (Angie) Lindsey, David (Linda) Lindsey, and Susan (Tom) Endsley; her sister, Bev (Len) Webb; her sister-in-law, Margaret Bigford; eight beloved grandchildren: Mason Lindsey, Lauren (Travis) Thomas, Trent (Paige) Endsley, Taylor (Trent) Tobias, Paxton Lindsey, Ty (Emily) Endsley, Ashleigh (Hunter) Lindsey-Erfman, and Regan (Garrett) Wood; along with twelve cherished great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary-Ellen, and her brother, Larry Bigford.
