Dallas Andrew Obituary

Napoleon - Dallas Frederick Andrew, 92, of Napoleon, passed away at Northcrest Nursing Home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. He was born in Florida, Ohio on August 2, 1932, to the late Gershal and Alberta (Frederick) Andrew. On November 11, 1953, he married Shirley Ann Bussing at the Florida United Methodist Church.

Dallas worked for Johns Manville for 33 years and the Henry County Hospital for 10 years as a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Florida United Methodist Church where he held many positions, including president and treasurer. Dallas served the Florida community for over 25 years as the village council president. He was a member of Gideon's International and a 32nd Degree Mason for over 50 years. Dallas was known for the "PETS" project (Personal Energy Transportation), where he built over 150, 000 frames for people with restricted mobility.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Shirley; children, Karen (Michael) McCarthy, Sheryl (Jeffrey) Rathge, and Karla (Chad) Oberhaus; grandchildren, Jared (Deanna) Hull), Stacie (John) Zachrich, Justin Westhoven, Haley (Joe) Cordes, Regan (Bri) Rathge, Nathan (Bailey) Dickmann, Quinton (Elissa) Oberhaus, and Kurtis Hay; 9 great grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Grace Clair, Kay (Dayl) Mann, Doris (Robert) Hutchinson, William Andrew, and David Andrew; sisters-in-law, Eva Andrew, Sharon Andrew, and Sheryl Andrew-Dobbelaere; and brother-in-law, Terry Krogman. . In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth (Melvin) Parcher, Jon Andrew, Richard Andrew, Nancy (Greg) Vela, Thomas (Ruth) Andrew, Mary Krogman, and Randall Andrew; and brother-in-law, Marvin Clair.

Friends and family will be received at the Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Masonic Rites performed at 7:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 19,2025, at 11 a.m. with an hour of visitation prior to services. A private interment will be held at Riverview Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon's International or the Florida United Methodist Church.
