Brian Rudo Obituary

Brian Davis Rudo Coinjock - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brian Davis Rudo, born on November 17, 1948, who passed away on January 26, 2025. Brian was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Brian proudly served his country as a Navy Seaman aboard the USS Boxer during the Vietnam War. His dedication to service and love for his country were defining aspects of his character. He carried the lessons of his military service with him throughout his life, and his courage and commitment will never be forgotten.

Brian is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betsy Lee Rudo; his two daughters, Tina and Traci; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his siblings: three sisters and two brothers. He was always putting family first and leaving a lasting impact on each of them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Rudo; stepmother, Marylyn Rudo; mother, Ida Perry; stepfather, George Perry Senior; and sister, Nadine Cluniey. While their absence is felt deeply, Brian's family finds comfort in their shared love and memories.

Known for his infectious sense of humor, Brian was always ready with a joke to brighten the room and make everyone laugh. He had a unique way of making those around him feel at ease, and his lighthearted spirit brought joy to countless moments. Brian's laughter will be remembered as one of his greatest gifts, whether it was a funny story, a playful quip, or a well-timed joke.

In addition to his humor, Brian was a man of kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and service to others, and his legacy will continue through the generations he leaves behind.

A celebration of Brian's life will be held at Coinjock Baptist Church in Coinjock, North Carolina, on April 5 at 2:00 pm.

Brian's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Brian. You will be loved and missed forever, and your jokes and service to our country will never be forgotten.
