Jacqueline L. Koeppen

Jacqueline L. Koeppen, age 88, of Mount Prospect, passed away July 12th, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth C. Koeppen. Dear mother of Michael (Aileen), Timothy (Lynn), Kenneth J. (Britt) and Peter (Holly). Loving mother-in-law of Karen (the late Paul). Cherished grandmother of Paul Jr., Suzanne (Alex), Maria (Ben), Charles, Allison, Christopher, Rachel, Cody, Cheyenne, Connor and Brendan. Beloved great grandmother of Erin, Kyra, Scarlett, and Thomas. She was preceded in death by her sons Paul and Steven.

Jacqueline was born April 19, 1937, to Alfred and Bertha Steil of Des Plaines. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1954. Jackie married Kenneth Koeppen on July 3,1957. They were happily married for 67 years. Together they raised six boys and were very active in their Boy Scouts and baseball games. Later she worked at the Financial Planning Group for over 20 years.

Jackie was a lifelong parishioner and active member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Mt. Prospect. She was a member of multiple tennis clubs and an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. She loved baking, reading, knitting, crocheting, and gardening. Ken and Jackie enjoyed traveling in their camper, camping with their grandchildren, and attending their activities.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation Friday, 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. at Northwest Hwy., Mt. Prospect.

Visitation will continue Saturday, from 10:00 AM until Service 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 1100 S. Linneman Rd., Mt. Prospect.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
