Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother Alma Pauline Duncan (79) transitioned and gained her angel wings on July 3, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
A woman who loved well and was well loved. The matriarch of the family. She was a comfort to many and a joy to any and all around her.
Pauline was born on January 12, 1946 to her late parents, Lee Shubert and Esther Gentry. She was born and raised in Somerville, Tennessee, where she lived her whole life. She is survived by her brother, Reuben Daniel Shubert (Cub); her three daughters, Jane Logan, Paula Hoard and Charlene Crutcher; and their father, her former husband of over 50 years, Charlie Duncan.
She was an energetic and hard working woman working many different jobs. Her favorite thing of all to do and spent most of her time doing was taking care of all the grandkids, Danny Logan Jr., Ashley Logan, Amber Duncan, Shane Crutcher, Nick Crutcher, Dylan Logan, Daniel Logan, Emily Logan, Harley Logan, Makayla Reyes, Dakota Reyes, Gabriel Tucker, Avery Logan, Myah Tucker, Jaylynn Reyes, Solomon Tucker, Kobe Duncan, Cash Logan, Lucious Crutcher, Ryder Logan and expecting twin boys!
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Shubert; her mother, Esther Gentry; her siblings, Ellen Logan, Leroy Shubert, and Melvin Shubert; and her grandson, Charles "Scoot" Logan.
Pauline was a devoted Christian and was a lifelong member of Dancyville Assembly of God Church. She held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She was the heart of the family, her love was a gift. A loving, kind, strong, unique, happy, generous, and inspirational woman to the very end. She will be deeply and tremendously missed.
'Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.' 1 John 4:7
