Frances "Cookie" Smiley DeLuca

October 31, 1944 - July 18, 2025

Frances "Cookie" Smiley DeLuca, 80, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle, PA. Born on October 31, 1944, in Carlisle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Marlin L. and Ruth A. Mumper. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Smiley, Sr., and the late Fred DeLuca.

Years ago, Cookie worked as a home health aide. Cookie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she was affectionately known as "Meemaw".

Surviving her are children: Debra Knoche and husband Bill, Robert Smiley, Jr., and wife Crystal, and Jennifer Smiley, grandchildren: Christopher Devor and wife Jarica, Robert Smiley, III, and wife Lydia, Janese Gray and husband Tim, Bradley Smiley, Taylor Strine, Meadow Strine, and Isabella Strine, and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brothers: Marlin F. Mumper, Richard J. Mumper, Dennis H. Mumper, and her infant twin brother.

A private graveside service will be held at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, 1000 W South Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
