Susan Vontobel Obituary
Susan A. Vontobel (Moavero) from Stamford, CT passed away on Friday, June 18, 2025. She was born on January 9, 1953, in Stamford, CT, the daughter of the late John Moavero and Helen Vagedes. She is predeceased by her loyal husband of 45 years, John Vontobel. Sue was a faithful employee of AIFS for over 20 years, retiring from the company.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Amanda Vontobel; her devoted son, Michael Vontobel; and her daughters-in-law, Erin Capuano and Nicole Harris.
Sue was a devoted animal lover and had many adopted fur babies throughout her life. She thoroughly enjoyed reading, attending live concerts, and Broadway shows. Sue was a big Yankees fan and loved going to games with her family. She was known as "Momma Sue" to many who adored her.
The family will receive family and friends at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Stamford Animal Shelter Alliance www.stamfordanimalshelteralliance.org/#donate and the Friends of Felines, Connecticut www.fofct.org/donate.
