Richard Myos Obituary

Faribault - Richard Lloyd Myos Jr., age 68, of Faribault, MN, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 22, 2025 at his home. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 417 Oak Street, Carver, MN, with Pastor Greg Snow of St. John's Lutheran Church, Chaska, officiating. The family will receive friends 10 - 11 AM at the church. The inurnment will take place at a later date. Richard was born on January 1, 1957 in Anoka, MN, the only child to Richard Sr. and Jeanette (O'Neil) Myos. He was raised in Fridley, MN, and graduated from Totino Grace High School in Fridley. Richard was self-employed and had a long career in woodworking - specializing in cabinetry and furniture. He was also employed for Minn Cor and was woodworking manager at the Faribault Prison providing furniture for state buildings. He was a 30-year resident of Faribault after moving there from Blaine, MN. He worked at the Faribault Golf and Country Club on the grounds crew and also coached girls' hockey at Faribault. He enjoyed golfing, pickleball, woodworking, dancing, his winters in Arizona and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughters, Katie (Jason) Beal of Beverly, MA, Kelsey Myos of Chaska; grandchildren, Joshua Beal, Blake Larson, Nora Larson, Colin Beal and Nora Beal; other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements are with the Bertas Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Chaska, MN.
