Jon Bergeron Obituary

Jon passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2025 due to complications after cardiac arrests.

Jon was an adventurer and easily made friends. He spent some of his youth in Alaska where he loved to fish, chat with the fishermen, trap rabbits, talk to the moose, and be outdoors. When he moved back to Minnesota, he knew everyone in downtown Scandia and won "top salesman" in a school fundraiser in 6th grade. He helped with our taxidermy business and loved to fish, hunt and be in the outdoors.

Jon graduated from Chisago Lakes High School, spent two years at U of M Morris and then earned a Technical Engineering Certificate from Dunwoody Institute.

He loved his career and took pride and responsibility in his role at Minnetronix Medical, Inc. and he felt close to many fellow employees. Jon had an incredibly strong friend group that was very important to him. They have been gathering many years to watch "Joe Bob," play board games, go to movies and to commune. He considered them family.

Jon loved his family, telling jokes, playing cribbage, showing up early, vacationing, and group camping. We will miss him.

Jon was preceded in death by father, Steve Bergeron; grandparents, Richard and Linda Jensen, Darlene and Bill Bergeron.

He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Jensen Swanson; aunts and uncles, Erik (Lalani) Jensen, Alan Jensen, Patty Vido, Ginny Julson, and Kara Jensen; cousins, Alex Jensen, Anna Jensen, Amaya Jensen, and Kevin Vido; and many close extended family and friends.

Memorial service will be held on August 8 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to organizations that protect the environment or support mental health.
