Anne Upshaw Wright, 91, of Woodford died at home surrounded by her family, Friday, July 18, 2025, at her home. Born at home at Elm Grove farm in "Bagby" in Caroline County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Lynwood and Bertha Gouldin Upshaw, Sr. Anne retired as an LPN after 30 years with Dr. Baldwin Harrington at Fredericksburg Orthopedic. She was a member of Bowling Green Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Wright; two brothers, Lynwood Upshaw, Jr. and Eldred Upshaw; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Jean Upshaw. Survivors include her three children, Kathleen Tinder (Todd), Vin Wright (Robin) and Emily Langevin (Bruce); brother, Tommy Upshaw (Jean); sister-in-law Amelia Winn; five grandchildren, Lindsey Edwards (Eric), Justin Tinder (Jenny), Amelia Wright, Chelsea Langevin and Mary Wright (Jon); nine great-grandchildren, Audrey, Gracelynn, Connor and Faith Edwards, Tegan, Colton, and Declan Tinder, Clay and Charley Wright. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m, Friday, July 25 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Sat. July 26, 2025 at Bowling Green Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakewood Cemetery. IN lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bowling Green Baptist Church, P. O. Box 543, Bowling Green, VA. 22427.
